Ha! I blog again...

It has been a while since I've blogged. That extremely sucks so here is my quick update on what is happening:

  • moved to med center. My excessively awesome girlfriend has a place there and we're both taking classes in the med center, which leads to my next bullet point.
  • we're both taking classes in the med center
  • trying to get into a more regular training schedule for aikido. looks like mondays and wednesdays i'll be on the mat. various saturdays i'll be teaching.

The geometry of Aikido

Having read a few books on Aikido and O Sensei, I've come across a handful of times when he refers to the Triangle, Square and Circle. What I have yet to find is any clear explanation of how he used these shapes to teach Aikido. It's been a while since I've had this discussion with anyone so I thought it would be a good idea to revisit the subject. Since I haven't found an explanation associated with O Sensei or anyone else, I'm coming up with my own interpretation of what these shapes mean in Aikido. Here have ye:

What is poverty?

For some reason, I think I'm ready to resurrect this blog, big stuff happening in life of samurai shawn - (girlfriend, media projects, website launch approaching). Tomorrow is blog action day so my timing is quite perfect (do not dispute this, I will throw large amounts of illogical arguments at you which will leave you wondering why you ignored my advice. It's just how weard I can be.).
